If you grew up in the '80s or '90s, chances are your hair was pretty good mates with a lot of very trendy hair accessories. There was the butterfly clip, a timeless staple; the barrette, a must for the fancy tween; and the scrunchie, the most relied-upon accessory of them all.
How do you look cute with a scrunchie?
Put your fingers into the top crown of your head and pull parts of your hair looser on top so you create a little volume and pull out some wisps of hair around your face for that messy look and add your medium to large scrunchie around the ponytail (to cover the hairband underneath that's doing all the support work).
Are scrunchies work appropriate?
Yes we are allowed to wear scrunchies. As long as your hair is up and out of your face neatly it's okay whatever you'd like to use. I believe that as long as the scrunchie is black, it is acceptable.
Are scrunchies going out of style?
We love scrunchies and never want to see them go out of style, but the oversized trend is almost unnecessary during these times. They would make for a cute accessory during a date or an evening out with friends, but don't offer much when you're stuck inside. Leave 'em in 2020.

Don't get me wrong, scrunchies are not out of style for summer 2021. They are just not as fashionable as they were anymore. Unless they come with a ribbon, of course. By the way, leopard print hair accessories are back in style for summer 2021.
